Thermoworks BBQ Anywhere Kit for $299

Saw this in my inbox this morning, and I keep going back to it... have yet to delete the Thermoworks email, as I am finding this a tempting combination at $299.... NOT that I need it. I have a Smoke that works, I have a PartyQ that works.... and I keep saying I want to get back to basics and NOT use a fan, haha...

    Maybe it will help someone:

Explore ThermoWorks, the trusted leader in precision thermometers. From the kitchen to the grill, ThermoWorks meat thermometers ensure culinary perfection.

It is their new RFX wireless system with 2 probes, a Billows fan, and a battery pack that can run it all for 24 hours.

TempSpike customer I assume (your profile info)? I delete a ton of emails for various reasons, but I don't turn them off. You never know when that "one product" you love will go on sale! Thermoworks is one of those companies, I just manage myself, even though I probably have a dozen products from them.

I like that they're offering a battery pack, but there's lots of good battery packs out there, probably (once you do the math) much cheaper. I've got several that I've used for close to a decade and they're still going strong and they were pretty damn cheap.

Well, this isn't a USB battery pack, but a 12V DC pack. Not sure there are as many of those.

Ah yes. I see that now. Interesting. I’ve never used the 12 volt DC pack option. Battery pack has pretty much handled any cook I’ve used it on. And I have AC fairly handy on the patio, so I never looked into that option.

I’ve been doing my best to ignore this email because I already have an RFX with 2 probes. ……..buuuuuuuuutttttttt……. This seems like something I need. Lol.
