Char-Broil Rotisserie Attachment ~ $20 at Lowe's ? (YMMV) (Charlotte area, maybe elsewhere)

The Char-Broil Universal Rotisserie Attachment is being clearanced at ~$20. while stock lasts, I assume.

I've seen this sale at two different Lowe's stores in my area, so it may be available elsewhere as well.

It's meant for a standard rectangular gas grill, but I will be adapting it to fit my 22" Weber.

It's basically just a rotisserie rod with some clamping forks to hold the food in place, some mounting hardware brackets, and a 110V motor to drive it. Probably not worth the original $50, but certainly worth $20. Last night, they had six in stock. (Well, five now.)

How do you plan to hold this to the kettle, without the rotisserie ring? Just curious. I can think of ways to non-destructively clamp it to the kettle for open grill spit/rotisserie roasting, without the lid on, but can't think of a way to use it with the lid, without that rotisserie ring.

Good catch Jim!. Yeah, the kettle ring is almost a necessity.

Panhead John I think without the ring, you could probably modify the brackets that come with it, and possibly use some small pieces of steel/hardware from a hardware store to make brackets to perch this on the edge of a kettle, but it will be for open air rotisserie cooking only. Which will work fine if you build a fire UNDER the meat, rather than to the side like I would with an enclosed kettle rotisserie.

Good question! I have a ring for kebab skewers, and I would attach it to that.

If I didn't have that, I'd probably just drill ANOTHER HOLE OR TWO n the kettle to mount it.

My search for the "Char-Broil Universal Rotisserie" at Lowe's shows it as $49.98 online. Great deal for your local area I guess.

Doing a price check on my phone in the store showed it as $49.99 as well, but it rang up at $19.97 at the register (actually $17.97 for me!)

But I did say YMMV at the top...
