I love mine. So much so, I hid it from my family and bought a couple of ThermoPop's for them to use instead. And I bought another Thermopen One last year when they had a sale. That one isn't even out of the box yet, and also hidden.

I too have one new in box, hidden. It will either be a gift for someone I know will care about it and use it, or for me if I lose my current ones.

People say that the ONE isn’t really any more accurate than the Original, and they’re right, of course. Or really, any more significantly accurate than any cheap digital stick. But once you’ve used it and seen how fast it is, you never get the Original out, ever. Or any other digital stick that you own.

dpearce oh yeah, those trivets and spatulas are fantastic! I use the trivets to protect the countertops and stone tabletops from hot dishes, and also to insulate plates and coffee cups from the cold countertops on winter mornings.

I’ve found almost all digital thermometers are accurate, or at least accurate enough. It’s all the stuff around that: ergonomics, display, speed, reliability, support, warranty; that make the more expensive brands worth it.
