Well, Christmas is about here, and the Markets should be tying themselves in knots to get our business -- except that so many of the specials here are the same as last week, so I suspect the flyer people have taken off for the holidays!
Needless to say, Hams and Spiral Hams abound, with the addition of Prime Rib specials in several stores.
Publix is not normally listed here, but they have finally dropped their annual special on Prime Rib -- it is $6.99 per pound, and they always look good. They're trimmed and tied up with the bones detached, and ready to go. They also have Pork Loin Rib Roasts for $3.99 / lb, similarly prepared.
So go, shop, grill, smoke, enjoy, and be careful for yourself, your families, and others around you! And report back! I want to hear if anyone smoked a fruitcake or not.
