Of course, right on Halloween's heels is Thanksgiving here in NC and the Turkey Derby pricing is already starting to ramp up: LIDL has turkeys at 39 cents per pound! If you want to do a smoked/grill-roasted turkey on the big day to impress family and friends, now is the time to nab a few practice birds and work out your running order! (Hint: even the failures can be delicious, and there's nothing like stocking the freezer with grab-and-go turkey packs!)
