I considered pulling the trigger when my Academy had them for $200 awhile back. If I didn't already have (and love) a Bronco Pro, I'd be all over this deal.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.

These deals at Academy and Buc-ees have been going on for a while now, off and on. Surely they aren't selling them at a loss over this prolonged period of time. Even at the Pit Barrel website they are $170 off "list." I wish I understood the economics of this better. Maybe it is something bizarre like larger barrels are just much less expensive to manufacture.

Been smoking a handful of years, just got serious in the last two or three years. Thanks to AR n @glemn picked up an SnS Kamado for appx 1/3 price of new. I dont think he used it twice. Love AR! keep calm n smoke on! Miss you Bonesy.

The most recent addition is a Pit Barrel Jr with bird hanger, 4 hooks and cover. ThermoWorks Smoke 2 probe, DOT, 2 ThermoPops and a Thermapen MK4. A Thermoworks RFX Gateway 2 probe meat thermometer.
