Cheshire Pork Sale 15 lbs Hardwood Smoked Bacon - $45

We have the most amazing cuts of pork butt, bacon, ham, pork belly, pork chops, BBQ, Salami, and much more.

That might be a tough one. One pack of 15lbs… if it comes vacuum packed fresh, and I can split it and freeze it, okay. But if it’s a frozen 15lb slab, I might have a problem.

I’ve been buying my ribs from Snake River Farms. Should I try the ones from Cheshire?

swartzster Only if you like them nice and meaty, with a deep, rich flavor! They go on sale frequently. I buy the full spares and cut them into St Louis racks and tips, or alternately cut the breastbone off and do the ribs and tips together.

Wow! This is soo tempting. The only thing is I will prob be eating 90% of it since Kim had her GB removed. How long can I safely freeze n still consume? 15 pounds of bacon is like three or four years worth for moi. Guess I could concentrate n doit justice in a year. If it will freeze that long. Any thoughts?

Huh. Every one is different I guess. I had my gall bladder removed years ago and I don’t even think about it.

If you vacuum pack it then it will keep well in the freezer.,

That’s a great price but wayyyyy too much for me and the wifey. It would last several years. We maybe consume 3-4 pounds a year. In fact I bought 10 pounds about 14 months ago. Still have 6 in the freezer and have one thawed out in the fridge for blt’s. 🤷‍♂️

I looked at it but I have 25 lbs of homemade bacon in the freezer. Shipping to me is $45. If I buy two, shipping jumps to $99. I'd pay that for heirloom pork if I had room.

I sent this to a friend who lives out in the country (middle of nowhere) and shipping for 30lbs to them is $115. They decided to pass.

Damn. My shipping was 12.97 or an option for 2nd Day for 23.00.

That’s an insanely good price. With shipping, it works to about $4/lbs. and free kielbasa with my order. ;-)

Is that a “first order” deal?

Mosca If you are referring to the kielbasa then no. It just pops up in your shopping cart with no cost. I thought at first it was a mistake so I abandoned my cart and started again but it appeared again in my cart at no cost.

That might push me over the edge on this one then!

My bacon arrived today. It was packaged as sheets of individual slices stacked in one big lump. Packaging for freezing is a ridiculous pain in the ass, stacking the slices and vac sealing them in 3 lbs batches. With my broken ankle, I can only do so many at once, and my wife is making noises like she wants to divorce me over the bacon (and everything else with the broken ankle). Not really divorce, but maybe murder suicide. ;-).

They also have sales of their applewood smoked bacon which comes pre packed in 1 lb bags. When that is on sale then it is sold as 44.99 for 10lb. You pay a little more but none of hassle of packaging yourself.

We made it through the absurd packaging and we’re still married, though I gave her permission to do me in in my sleep.

$76 to ship to me. Can’t justify that…

        $76--No Ship! to me either,

This is still tempting, but I must be strong. I still have 5-8 pounds of Smithfield Bacon in the freezer from the last special, and my wife gifted me a meat subscription plan for my birthday, so I must keep fre3ezer space open for that. Argh…

But for me, it would have come to ~$56 with shipping, so a good deal. And the phantom Kielbasa! Anybody know how good the Kielbasa is?
