Sample sized sauces at Walmart grocery

I was there to pick up Wright bacon, and happened upon a display of sample sizes priced at either $1 or 50¢, depending. I grabbed what looked interesting to me, but I might grab some more if I’m near there for some other reason; it’s a cheap way to find out if you like something.

Great find. The Melinda's green sauce are the wife/daughter's favorite "taco sauce" and the Yellowbird is a great one too

Yeah, I've heard a lot about Yellowbird, so I picked one up. It's really flavorful, and it's got a nice immediate hit of heat without a lot of sustain, which is great for a lot of things. I like it a lot.

Yeah we've been seeing those sample sizes since late last year at our Walmart. Initially $1, I've seen them marked down to less lately.

I just picked up another dozen. Some were $1, some were 50¢, some were 25¢. Total was $8.25.

As much as I loath Walmart, I may run over there today and see if they have these. Great sizes to pack in th lunch box.

I hate it, too. And it really pains me to say that the quality of their produce was pretty damn good, at lower prices than Wegman’s. I haven’t gotten a decent head of lettuce at Wegman’s in months; Walmart had two dozen beautiful, large, loose heads (the tight ones are all yellow inside) just sitting there to choose from, at half the price.
