    No grilling for the next two weeks if the weather forecast is correct (I sure hope it is, my yard is parched). Might have to snag some of that salmon for the freezer though.

    FYI Most if not ALL of the seafood that's "fresh" thawed at the meat counter at HT is actually frozen in the back before they bring it out, so if you want a whole side of salmon ask the butcher if they have any frozen in the back.

      Yeah, once frozen, keep it frozen. Don't smile at me and pretend it's fresh, please.

      Particularly in the case of large fish fillets, if it HASN'T been frozen, one SHOULD freeze it solid for a week or more for safety. This would kill any parasites along for the ride. With supermarket seafood, one never knows where it's been, or where it comes from.
