Costco prime beef.

I went to Costco yesterday, at Fields Ertle off I-71 north of the beltway. I counted 19 full packers prime $4.29 lb. Not huge but all were btw 10-15lbs. Did not notice any other prime beef in the cases.

After 1.5 years of no Prime packers my SoCal Costco finally got them back 4-5 months ago. There’ve always been at least ten every time I’ve checked. $4.99/lb, which is more than they ever were before their absence, but still not bad considering how much the cost of all groceries have gone up here!

My local Costco has Choice and Prime packers. 3.89 / 3.99 lb. The smallest prime was 18.3 lbs. Probably at least 10 of each.

Costco in Southlake, Texas had about 20 prime brisket packers and about 8 American Wagyu brisket packers today as well as prime steaks for sale.

When all the disruption in the beef industry hits the retail shelves I expect a price increase. It might be a wonderful time to take advantage of these deals.

Costco outside Pittsburgh had 3 packs of prime sirloin and one packer. It was over 20 lbs and around $102. Definitely less prime than they've had in the past and I haven't seen wagyu yet.

Went to Sam's the other day for the first time in... I dunno over a year. I usually go to Costco, but the last time I was there, there was zero packers and zero Prime.

Sam's was loaded up with both.

I was at Costco yesterday. Exactly one prime grade packer brisket. Four or five choice grade packers. NO other prime grade beef at all. Didn’t check prices on any of it.
