    Costco wagyu brisket

Costco had wagyu briskets for $6.49 a pound. Boy do I miss the days of the sub $3 prime brisket... oh well I'll just have to make due with one of these

I'd buy one if I saw it. I've got 2 Primes sitting in my fridge now wet-aging, but I'd definitely buy one of those if I found one.

      Ditto to that.

The label also has a "pack date" so that takes some of the guess work out of the wet-age process. I have had poor luck getting costco to tell me when any given brisket has been packed.

Vancouver WA, prob not worth the drive down from Seattle to pick one up. They still had 4 left when I picked mine up.

$6.49/lb for wagyu!? That's fantastic. I would snap up as many of those as my chestie could hold...

Today I was at Costco and they had prime briskets for $4.49/lb, while this is not a screaming deal in aggregate, it’s notable for Seattle! I grabbed the biggest one, my mantra is 17 pounds or more because I like to trim them to cook the flat and point separately and the bigger the better!! Mine is almost 19 pounds and was $85, it might even be a lefty πŸ˜‰. She will wet age for 4 weeks and then I will celebrate almost spring with it. Next weekend I will cook the choice thats been wet aging with the last of my Oakridge - Black Ops. It’s been a long time since i cooked a brisket and I have all sorts of new tools in the arsenal! And I’ve never cooked a prime one!! I am excited!! πŸ˜† πŸ”₯πŸ”₯🐿️

No prime or wagyu brisket today at Yakima/Union Gap Costco. Did get boneless pork shoulder, 1.99/lb.

Just scored one as well! They didn't have any select briskets in stock. Let hope this trend keeps going out here in Washington. I need all the help I can get when smoking meats and couldn't bring myself to cook a select for fear I would dry them out to much
