SoupBase.com - New Year Promo
I just received my order from soupbase.com, as I was running low on Minor's low-sodium chicken base and wanted to try a low-sodium ham base. So this post is both a shout-out to the fine mom-and-pop internet shop and to share a promo they are running in January, because I got more that just base:
They included four recipe books, in addition to the four tubs of base I purchased. I gotta say, you won't get the same treatment on Amazon (though they do sell through that channel, too). I thought it was cool, as there are some great ideas in these little books. They are selling commercial products to consumers, so I like the extra mile they went for those unfamiliar with this type of product. Very cool

My only comment is that the ham base has a 'best by' date of 2/2024, which is okay because I will probably use a lot of it and if I don't, I can freeze it. With the Minor's bases, they last a very long time (1+ years) in the fridge, though fresher is always better.
