I missed on the Porter Road dry aged rib roasts; I thought about it a couple hours, then went back later and POOF! Sold out. I might get the rib roast. I still have a space problem though.

EDITED AGAIN to add: the rib roasts are NOT the same as the whole primals from a couple years ago! Those were completely untrimmed. These are already trimmed into a roast; the chain muscle (that little triangle part) has been removed and they’ve been cleaned up considerably!

Yes, "rib roasts" are cut/sectioned prime rib roasts, "rib loins" are the full shebang.

My rib roast just arrived 20 minutes ago. 14.5lbs, so right at the top of the range, after subtracting 8oz of plastic.

Mine just arrived a few minutes ago as well, first time I've ordered from them. They must like Mosca more than me, this one is just over 13#. The cryovac obscured it, but the marbling is gorgeous. Two days on the road to get here and the SIX ice packs were still frozen, great packaging. Even got a fancy insulated tote bag in the deal. Very impressed. Haven't decided if it will get cut up into both steaks and a roast or all steaks. If I go all steaks looks like maybe 10 yield at 1.5" thick.
