I was due to order new frozen chile (I'm lazy and have decided that their 5 pound package of roasted, peeled chile is a good deal. More than five pounds fresh equivalent without the work and divided into one pound bags.) I also had been interested in their frozen chile rellanos, but at $65 for a dozen, it seemed steep. But tomorrow is my birthday, so Lisa said to go for it.
The pleasant surprise is that there also is an automatic 30% off the entire order when ordering three items. So, my order was 5 lb of medium hot chile, a dozen chile rellanos, a dozen smoked pork tamales and a dozen veggie tamales. Retail before discount totaled $254.97. Shipping was free and my discounted total came to only $136.48. What a deal!
When I placed the order, there was a note that they are changing their fulfillment center, so there could be a couple of weeks delay before shipping, but at those prices, that's fine. And I still have one pound of frozen chile for emergencies...
