    $9.97 For 18Lb B&B Briquettes At Walmart

This sale happens periodically and it's happening now. Also, Kingsford 2/16 lb for $19.92, all with shipping included. Got me a little of both.

I like the B&B better than the Kingsford anyhow; the extra 4# for only 2¢ seals the deal!

I like the B&B a little better too, but the KBB gets going a bit quicker and that can be handy.

I capitalized on this this spring, such a great savings. I hope they continue to offer in spring up here. I suppose season is really just getting comfortable down south and in the dessert, so it’s likely a good time for them to offer it again.

I agree on the starting, I’ve gone to some lump for starting. You also need to keep a knife around, those strings never pull. I have not found any briquette that can touch it yet, other than the old Weber charcoal.

These are $18 for 2 20lb bags and I like them better than the Kingsford by a mile.

That stuff is fine. I prefer Kingsford Professional but I did pick up a 2 pack of that stuff at that price.

That's my preferred fuel for grilling as well, although I do have some KBB on hand as well.
I save my B&B for longer cooks.

Interesting. As someone who is new to the world of BBQ and learning the ins and outs of charcoal, if you do not mind me asking, what are some of the reasons you like that brand? Seems like a pretty good deal. I wouldnt mind trying it out myself if i can find that deal.
      TY

I really liked Cowboy when I got it last winter from Costco. Bigger briquettes and seemed more consistent temp than KBB for me.

It burns cleaner and longer for me due to less binder material.
It does take a little longer to get started than KBB, but usually that's not a big deal for me. I mostly use it for grilling, but i have used it for longer cooks in the past, and that to me is where it shines above KBB.

All of the above. Bigger briquettes, longer burning, more consistent, etc. Burn a couple bags of Kingsford, then burn a bag or two of this. Sometimes it's a little difficult to quantify, but I really feel like they do better. I've not been a BIG charcoal guy historically, but I recently got my first kettle and these have gotten a lot more use this summer.

      Thanks Captain M!

I bought 30 bags of B&B this past year from Walmart. I’m also a KBB fan for starting my fires.

I loaded up at that price last spring, but since I only use it for long cooks, I still have 6 or 7 bags left.
I also bought KBB on sale from Walmart last spring, and when the bags were delivered, 4 of the 6 I got showed obvious signs of having been wet. For that reason, I'm rather gun shy about buying from Walmart sight unseen...ymmv

I’m not seeing that price when I look. Lowest price I see is about $20 per bag for B&B.

Yep, looks like it got bumped up a little from yesterday. Must be some kind of algorithm in play, but still not a bad deal.

I've never used the Cowboy briquettes. Local Walmart has them in stock. I'll pickup a couple of bags based on the comments in the thread. Thanks.

The B&B Briquettes are back on sale at Walmart for $9.97. At least in this area.

They’re on sale here too, thanks SandPiper …..looks to be online and free delivery if you’re a Walmart plus member, otherwise it’s $6.99 shipping. Word to the wise, if you’re interested, better stock up. From past experience these sales don’t last long……
