Yep. Highly recommend this book! I’ve had the print edition for 4-5 years now and it has been one of the foundations of my taco cooking experience. The adobo I use, specifically last week for 2 of the tacos (birria and pastor) come from this book. He also has a number of types of salsa recipes. Verde, roja - both cooked and raw.

And it’s not just your normal tacos, it gets outside of the box as well, which I find interesting. That is a steal at that price to have digitially!

I grabbed a copy too. I figure my cash winnings from the Taco Smack Down should cover the purchase

I picked up a copy also. Thanks for the post and helping me spend money on something I didn't even know I needed.

funny... wanted to read a bit before committing my $2, and despite being a white dude from Masshole land, he worked in Chicago, discovered his love of Mexican cuisine here, in Pilsen and Little Village, shopped the markets, and "comb(ed) through the index of Rick Bayless's Mexican Kitchen." Then went to LA, and discovered that. It's funny that he had to go to LA to taste a freshly made tortilla that broke his brain, as there are plenty of places in Chicago for that.

I lived in LA, had my first real good tacos there (wasn't adventurous enough when I lived in Austin), but Chicago's diverse and amazing Mexican broke my brain. And a taco truck in Napa Valley recommended by the coolest vintner I'd ever met, rebroke my mind, with an insanely spicy series of tacos that reset my understanding of picante, and how tolerance and enjoyment of it works.

$1.99 + tax, with a $1.25 credit back for "great on Kindle" books... Nice. Done.

The hardcover at full retail is worth it, if only for the salsa recipes.
