Not sure if this is a deal, deal. Only been to Aldi's one other time. Smithfield spares $2.19 lb. There was a tonne of them.
I will take the hit and report back.
I just paid $1.91 for Smithfield Spares yesterdayt but the loin backs were $2.78. Not at Aldi though, the one in my part of town shut down but we have one of their nice, big ones just a couple of miles in the opposite direction.
If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
That's a pretty good price, but Aldi pricing and sale prices seem to vary by market and are very regional. I don't see that in the sales flyer for my local Aldi.
Prices vary across the country. That’ competitive for my art of the country. While Aldi tends to run a little higher than area sales, they are competitive. This week Albertsons has St Louis ribs for $1.77 a pound.

Sounds like a deal to me, that is any time pork ribs are under $3.00. But there are commodity pork ribs.
That is what I buy, cost-effective. Best bang for the buck. But that is why I like PBR.
