Does anyone have experience with the Kingsford Pro. I have never used it but would be willing to give it a try at that price per pound?

Yes I have. It’s fine but I like B&B more. All I’ve ever used this on was my WSM and not my kettle. However this is a good price and the B&B sale last weekend was not in stock for me so I couldn’t take advantage. I’ve used this the most in my WSM and I have no complaints. Picked up a bag this morning.

I picked up 2 bags of the Kingsford Pro at Costco yesterday. I used the Kingsford in my Kettle for grilling and I use B&B briquettes and char-logs in the Bronco for smoking and also with the SnS for low and slow in the Kettle.

I don’t think putting a label “professional” on it makes it so. It is all natural though with only char and vegetable binders. No borax and/or limestone. However, I grill 95% of the time with the original kingsford charcoal and it works for me. I guess I’ve acquired a taste for borax

I bought 6 bags, the limit at Costco, about a month ago and have used it on the last two cooks. I’m pleased with the results. I’ll have to try some B&B for a comparison.

I always buy the 3 pack max when it’s on sale in the spring and fall at Costco. That said I only use it to get my LSG up to temp and use B&B briquettes to do the heavy lifting during the time the meat is on the pit. Serves its purpose well for me and the price on sale makes it very worthwhile.

I've used it for grilling. Burns hot but quick. It also smokes like a locomotive on startup, so I personally would never use it for low and slow...

It’s great for every day grilling. It lights fast. It burns hot and clean. The only draw back is it burns very quickly. I don’t use it for low/slow. If you can find it at Costco at that price load up, like I have for the past few years.

Alan Brice My wife goes to Costco every 10 days or so and will grab 2 or 3 two-packs for me each time she's there.
