Likewise, thank you for the heads up IowaGirl! The wife warned me she was stopping at Fareway on the way home from work today, so I will have to place my order for 2 racks.

Is everyone having good luck with fairway? I hadn’t seen one since I was a kid until a few years ago when the opened a Fairway Meat Market here. Gave them a few chances and crossed them off my list. I can buy better meat at better prices at Sams so thats what I do.
However I always see there adds and wonder if I should try them again…

Meh...when they fist opened here in Papillion, they were pretty decent. Over the years the quality and the customer service dwindled, so we go to a couple of butcher shops. My wife will pick up a couple things every now and then, like these ribs, but I won't personally give them the time of day.

I have to drive 2 hours to get to a Sam's Club or Costco, so shopping regularly at those stores isn't a realistic option for me.
We have two Fareways nearby, and both stores consistently have good service and good meat. I've had good conversations with the butchers about their meat and how to cook different cuts.
We also have a good independent butcher shop about 35 minutes away and I patronize them too.

Craigar -- it's pretty good. The two local Fareway stores near me offer a good selection of the most common veggies and fruits. And the produce is almost always fresh and nicely presented.
I think HyVee has a wider selection than Fareway in that HyVee offers more of the exotic fruits and veg. But since the nearest HyVee is the same 2 hours away, it's not realistic for us to regularly shop there.
edit: The weakest part of our local Fareway is the bakery/bread offerings. HyVee wins hands down.
