Nice griddle but I wonder about this in the description- "Healthy for you Trace amounts of iron are naturally released when cooking with seasoned cast iron boosting the mineral in your diet" True or false, anybody? Plus points for my ferromagnetism if true.
My wife has had cast iron cooking recommended to her repeatedly - by doctors - as a good way to supplement the iron in her diet, both for her and our daughters.
We do a lot of cooking in a trio of cast iron skillets that were a wedding gift TO MY MOTHER, and they will turn 70 next year. I learned to cook in those.

Yeah, I would tend to agree, however, it can happen with both. I think rapid temp change could actually lead to it cracking if you went from red hot to a water bath. But, at the very least warping. I had a cheap Chinese cast iron griddle that I was use as a wind break on the KBQ. That thing warped on me over time, from being against the red hot fire box. Attjack
