Wow. Only $150 more than Joe Jr. If I didn’t already have two Kamado, I would go for it. I might grab the Junior though!

Good price. That’s the same size as the LBGE, for less than half the price, with all the extras included. And KJ has a similar reputation for quality, new owners notwithstanding.

FYI, there is free shipping. The link says "freight shipping", but after putting it in my cart and entering my zip code it came up as free.

Man have these things come down in price. I remember the first time I ever saw this was at a Costco and it was at $1000 earlier this year. I looked it up on Amazon and Amazon was selling it for $1150. Had i not bought my kettle a few months ago I would look at this a lot closer. However, my concern is that 18 inches is kind of a small grate. When I was at the Costco looking at this, I had a brisket in my shopping cart and I put it on there and it didn’t fit at all. Granted it was on trimmed and stones packaging but still. That is a great price. Looks like it has felt instead of the stainless steel mesh gasket.

I agree on the 18” being limiting even for small cooks. Another reason to consider the Akorn and its 20” grate.

I’ve used this same grill-smoker for over 6 years. I have nothing bad to say at all. After I trim a brisket it fits just fine and after a couple of hours there’s more room from shrinkage. I can cook 2 racks of spare ribs, but I do have to cut one in half. I bought the Big Joe earlier this year and it does use more fuel, but it’s cooking more meat at the same time. With a Smobot it is so simple and holds temp very steady. I’ve used their warranty twice and was taken care of right away both times.
