Yep. I don't think my local Costco has em.

STEbbq You might double check, our Costco down state has them and the organic.

We are in the West Suburbs and haven’t seen them at our Costco. We bought ours at Whole Foods for $1.99/lb plus the 10% prime discount.

Great price, looks like the turkey shortage that I was warned about isn't happening thank goodness.

That's what I'm saying! Everywhere I shop there are $0.99 a pound. Apparently the sky is not really falling...

I just picked up a 12 lb. Jenny O fresh turkey yesterday at the Niles (Chicago burb) Costco for 99 cents. The sell/cook by date is December so I’m good. That’s my bird that I’m going to do in the SNS kettle on Thursday.

I suspected from the beginning that the Turkey Shortage of 2022 was media hype. Not saying it doesn't exist in isolated pockets of the country, but you wouldn't know it where we live, from what my friends tell me. I haven't been to the grocery store in a while.

Local grocery stores are anywhere from $0.50 to $0.80 / lb for store-brand turkeys. Name brands were about a dollar+ higher.

The smallest Costco turkeys we saw were about 17 lbs

I have seen them for the same price here. But the grocery store I frequent has had free turkeys when your total is $125 or more. Not too hard to exceed that when shopping for a family. Always a fun game seeing if you can load the cart to get as close to $125. This year I hit $126 and $132. So I have two birds thawing right now getting ready to smoke on Thursday.

We have our turkey, but typically buy another one a day or two after Thanksgiving. They are almost giving them away then.
