It feels like 2019 at Costco…

Not for most things, but it’s been a couple years since we had St Louis Cut ribs for $1.99/lb. The freezer is overflowing, but I had to get at least one.

We have been a Sams Club family for years but the more I read about Costco the more intrigued I get. We walked thru one when they opened here but the difference in just the cost of chicken breasts paid for our Sams membership. But again that was years ago.

I’m not sure you’re missing anything. I also have a Sam’s Club membership because they were only $8 back in the summer, and I don’t see much difference other than Costco having a lot more booze choices.

You aren't missing much except a crazy mob - at least at my Costco. The only reason I maintain my Costco membership is to fill propane tanks there - Costco is about $1 less per gallon on propane than anyone else in town. Actually not many places left that fill them - mostly a couple of U-haul and camper service type places. I prefer to do most of my shopping at Sam's.

The one thing Costco has that my Sam's no longer carries is pork belly. And precut SLS ribs - Sam's has whole spares.

I picked up 2 packs of the back loin ribs....hard to pass up.
already have some st Louis in the freezer so went with the back loin.
just finished breaking down the 3 packs into single racks and vac sealed.

You guys suck. I don’t even need ribs but I’m tempted to go tomorrow.

Sid P the timing of your post couldn’t be better. I am buying ribs tomorrow for the Bronco’s maiden voyage on Sunday. Looks like I’m going to Costco!

Sounds great! You have plenty of capacity now, so get both SLC and baby back.

Reds Fan 5 Have you got your B & B charcoal briquettes yet for your maiden voyage on the Bronco? Also, be sure and post pics!

Yeah, my wife was at Costco today but conveniently forgot the ice chest, and I couldn't get away from my friend's place smoking over 100 lbs of meat plus sides for a wedding. GOD it was cool running his big ol' offset, though. Now I'm dying to get one even more!

I may have to make the trip tomorrow - it's a half-day round-trip to Costco, but $1.99/lb STL/BB ribs is tempting. I'm just afraid they won't have any when I get there.

Yep! My local store had baby back on sale for $5/rack! Needless to say, the old lady was not too happy when she opened the freezer and there was no more room for her hippy-witch-craft frozen goods in the freezer. LOL.

Bring on the rib cooks! Gonna be perfect for some dutch oven, slow cooks this winter. First I will smoke them, then drop them in the DO for a slow stew.

Yeah, you know, stuff they sell at Whole Foods and similar stores that claim to be "natural" cures for everything under the sun? Essential oils, crystals, extracts from plants no one can pronounce or prove are even real. Sid P

I was going to guess Trader Joe’s.Whole Foods, same thing. Actually, I’ve purchased some excellent meat at Whole Foods. Their sale prices combined with the additional Prime discount are competitive. At least around here.

Probably the last time we’ll ever see $1.99 ribs again! I made a special trip to Costco and stocked up on spare ribs. The baby backs were gone by the time I got there

Our Costco, in Glen Burnie Md, is selling flank steak for $8.99lb, (which isn't exactly a bargain), but they're $7.00 off per package until November 1st.
