I had to place another order Weds to stock up that big freezer I recently acquired. Rib loins (Prime, whole, fresh, 14-16lb) on sale too.
2 sales ago I picked up a strip loin, wet aged it in my spare fridge for 71 days, last week I hacked it up into steaks, half-dry-brined them and vacc-packed. The next night I cooked 2 while I froze the rest. They were fall apart tender, like ribeyes. Unreal. Top of the line beef.
Their Duroc pork butts are "on sale" right now, still kinda pricey for butts if ya ask me, but I won't try them. I've never been overly impressed with their Duroc ribs- well trimmed and very easy to work with but thin, and to me not much if any difference tastewise from commodity ribs. I guess that means I'm good enough to make commodity ribs taste like Duroc? .
You should get them next Weds. Ordering meat online often comes with a coupl little goodies- you should get a foam cooler, a tote bag, and a few reusable freezer packs inside.
Same here. Weather is now cooler and safer to start ordering on-line. Picked up 2 of the rib loins for steaks and roasts. Always been happen with this and their striplions.
