Attention recent Pit Boss Ultimate buyers......

Tools that are useful for the ceramic coated griddle top are different than for "normal" rolled steel tops. PB sells their own in a set and if that winds your watch go for it. I didn't buy those but, rather, chose to figure out my own path. I use a "bowl scraping" set from KitchenAid that I find is very good, and cost friendly. The grey piece is high temp nylon that is particularly good for the crusty deposits left behind by such things as bacon, burgers, and the like. It's fairly rigid so makes short work of the schmutz. The light blue piece is silicone, with a slight amount of flex. It too can scrape up softer schmutz but where it really shines is being used as a squeegee to either herd a pool of cooking liquid or clean up water to the drain. The square-ish corner fits just right at the bolstered edges making clean up quick and thorough. And.......the set is on sale at Amazon right now; Amazon.com: KitchenAid Gourmet Bowl Scraper, Set of 2, Aqua Sky/Sorm Grey: Home & Kitchen

Based on Bob’s recommendation to me recently, I bought them a few weeks ago. They do work well and would be a welcome addition to your tool set. They work much better than trying to use a nylon spatula for the same purpose.

I didn't mention it above, but the more rigid grey piece is also useful for chopping products on the griddle without damaging the surface.

Are you talking about the nylon spatulas I bought and recommended? If so, these are scrapers, different items altogether.

Mine just came, I haven’t used them yet but they are the obvious cheesesteak solution for the ceramic coated griddle. They will allow good force and scrape by (let me check my notes IowaGirl ) altering the vector of force at the point of the chop, without damaging the surface. Thanks again, Uncle Bob !
