Saw a reference to this in another thread and thought it deserved its own post. For a limited time they are $729.00, regular price is $849.00. This is a good deal on a great kamado. Grilla Kongs are 20" diameter, most standard kamados are about 18 inches.

- If not cooking outdoors, I am cooking on the stovetop with my 14" carbon steel wok, 12" CI skillet, or in the oven with my two Lodge CI pizza pans, or two dutch ovens. I've also got a nifty Lodge carbon steel grill pan that rocks for veggies outdoors.
It includes two 20.5" cooking grates, so has a good bit of capacity. For some reason the deflector is not included.
I will make another observation - this is the only grill they have on sale right now, which makes me kinda wonder if the new ownership is planning to get out of the kamado business, since it really is not in-line with the rest of their pellet based offerings. It mentions in the sale that inventory is "limited".

Potkettleblack my company has stalled for more than a year now with no product to sell in my part of the business, due to shortages of components, and my contract manufacturer went belly up due to it. Shifting production means waiting another year for parts to build product. All management/ownership including myself are running on massive pay cuts to try and keep things afloat and avoid laying anyone off. I am not sure now we will make it until supply chain shortages are corrected.

Anyway, we are scraping by with our services and software guys keeping the company afloat, barely, while hardware is in the red. Not sure how anyone who only sells hardware is surviving now with the electronic component shortages.
I guarantee this is part of what drove the sale of Grilla recently. Someone with deeper pockets to prepay for parts that cost 10x to 50x what they should cost was needed.Last edited by jfmorris; June 2, 2022, 09:31 PM.

I'll also mention that this kamado looks very similar to the SnS Kamado (shape, vents, stainless stand) but is 2" smaller in diameter. I don't know if SnS makes a smaller Slow 'N Sear for 18" kettles but if they do I bet with that and the addition of a lower grate over the charcoal this would function very much like the SnSK for a few hundred $$ less.

I made some measurements just now on my SNSK, and the Grilla Kong is not actually 2 inches smaller. The exterior diameter across the bowl of the SNSK is 24.5" - the Kong is 24". The cooking grate is 21.5 on the SNSK, and 20.5 on the Kong, likely due to the way it hangs in the bowl, and differences in ceramic thickness and slope of the bowl, etc.
