    $1.87 Brisket At H-E-B?

    This is a C&P from the OJB Facebook group:

    "Just a heads up to my fellow Texans. HEB has whole packers on sale for 1.87/pound. Limit one so bring a friend."

    It wasn’t listed on HEB’s website, but I’m passing it along in case their site doesn’t list local sales…

    That’s shoe leather tough select graded brisket. Good for making burgers, that’s about it.

      Jerod Broussard can make a Select brisket good, but aside from having time for tender loving care, Select might be best skipped. Heckuva price though.

        If you have a grinder, that's a heckuva price for ground beef.

        It's pretty much 50/50 Select and Choice at the local Wolly World. I'm doing a 13 hour hold on a Choice that was still tight at 204. It was boated at 188.

          Yep, $1.87 at my HEB. Not buying one because 1. select grade - I don't need burger meat at the moment and 2. I have wagyu brisket in the freezer.
