I bought 2 bags of each Plum and Almond a while back when they were the HD daily deal. I was surprised when they arrived there 2 jars of honey almond flower honey. I've used the honey it was good, but not the pellets, so no feedback on them.

I have used both the plum and almond pellets. I used the plum on a pork butt and the smoke ring had a purplish tinge. I had some pretty wide temperature swings on the RecTec, but that may not have been the plum pellets fault. Although since then, I usually cut the plum with oak or pecan pellets, just in case they were causing the temp swings.

I can’t recall the outcome from using the almond pellets.

I’ve been cutting the plum together with the almond, and it’s functional. Produces a good flavor on the Grilla, makes appealing smoke rings and bark, smells quite nice.

they are slightly longer, and nice solid pellets. Same ash as anything else. I don’t believe anyone’s claim about less ash, but I don’t buy crappy pellets either.

If they use bark, should be heavier on ash than those that don’t.

Does bark produce more ash? I had no idea.

I have used both before, they lasted longer, produced more quality smoke, and had good flavor. I just bought two bags of each, I prefer them to all the other brands I have tried, since the others tend to me mostly the same.

I'm a huge fan of both plum & almond wood chunks but I've never used either of the pellets. Anyone know how much of the actual wood they are?

They claim 100%, including the bark.

They are pretty dark, particularly the plum, so I believe the 100% wood including bark.

I've used the plum. No issues, good smoke ring, nice flavor and smoke aroma, seemed to have very little ash.

(Edit) Unfortunately they are not on sale in AZ.

One of the reasons they produce more smoke is
the inclusion of more bark. I’ve only used the plum and was pleased with my results.

Their bags claim 100% plum wood. I’d like to try the almond wood.
