Argh! I want this, but how can I hide a huge grilling accessory that will likely live on the Performer all summer.... I've got $89 burning a hole in my pocket, darn it...

SWMBO is in FLA for three weeks so I could have one shipped to the condo, but I'm pretty sure she'd balk at; the purchase and having to schlep it home. :-)

      jfmorris 🤣🤣🤣
But than again if used dogs are like used cars these days she might be worth quite a bit more. 😁

While I don’t have a Weber, I have a $300 Santa Maria. $89 is well worth it. Hahahahahaha. Sorry!!

$300 Santa Maria. That's the problem I'm having right now. I moved my Performer to my parent's place on Lake Charlevoix to make room on my patio for an offset. I have the 26" kettle at home but the only Santa Maria accessory I've seen for it costs $400.

Yeah that's overpriced in my book. Hopefully Titan will make one for half the price. But 26 accessories don't sell as well as 22 accessories.

I keep coming back to this although I don’t totally understand it. Other than the adjustable height is the ease of feeding wood the main benefit?

I have a big pile of hickory I could use on it…

I'm thinking it might be an interesting way to do cheeseburgers. You could cook them over a real wood fire which would give them a smoky flavor which might not be attainable any other way. Sear the heck out of them, flip, sear, then raise the grate and finish. Or do it backwards and reverse sear.

Here's an interesting twist to this gadget.

    (50) This is the most innovative grill on the market. - YouTube

As we can see, this keeps a lid on the grate, and allows one to raise and lower while keeping a lot of the heat between the grate and the lid. I have to wonder if placing a small lid such as an 18" Weber lid or a cheap smoker lid would work for this $89 gadget?

Thanks Attjack. First cook and a good time - Brats cooked with roasted red potatoes dusted with Everything but the Bagel, olive oil, and rosemary. Served with an avocado cream and sliced cherry tomatoes.
