Well, I've actually decided to resist this Misen sale/kickstarter for now, even though it is a good deal compared to their normal prices. I've been happy cooking with my Lodge 12", and still need to work on continuing to build up seasoning on my 14" carbon steel wok from the Wok Shop. And with spring and summer moving in, I fully expect to spend the next 6 months working on chasing the perfect burger among other recipes on the flat top outside...
Thanks for the link to the smash burgers.
Cleaning out the basement, I came across a cast iron griddle I had forgotten about. Conveniently, it fits rather nicely on the 22 in kettle (makeshift flat top)..
Made smash burgers last week for the first time. They came out pretty good, but I think this additional info will help me take them to the next level...
Smashburgers are my favorite, and the families too at this point, after I first discovered them here a few years ago. I like Meathead's Diner Burger recipe on the free side too, and make it most often, but plan to work through that list of Serious Eats burgers this summer.
