There are some deals to be had with imported cast iron. I picked up a new # 14 Ozark Trail skillet for $17.00 last month. After I stripped and reseasoned it it made a great wedding gift.

I do this for the scouts, buy a cheap Ozark trails skillet, spend an hour sanding down the surface, and then re-season it. For less than $20 bucks and a few hours of my time, the scouts get a pan that has a surface as smooth as a $200 Field skillet.
