    Creekstone Duroc SLC ribs

    Got this email today:

    "NATURAL DUROC ST. LOUIS RIBS!
This customer favorite is a perfect way to get geared up for the big game or stock your freezer for your next cookout. This special features four racks of individually packaged St. Louis Ribs for just $88 - a savings of $36. Offer valid while supplies last - no promo code required."

The Honey extension on my Chrome browser found me another 10% off by using promo code 10OFFNEWS (pay attention to the 0 vs O).

Now, everybody go and buy these up so I won't give in to temptation and get yelled at for buying more meat that I don't need.

You might as well stock up the way prices are, flats fresh ribs at my local grocery had been in in the $25-30 range.
Found them last week in the $15-20, only brought 2 flats but were going to go back later in the week.
Never got back, this week $35-40 plus....pee me off.

At Whole Foods anywhere from 20 to 30 for a rack of St. Lewis cut.

Wild fork Foods. SLC ribs $3.48/lb. Costco $3.99/lb the day I ordered these. Just received two racks on Tuesday. They look great. Will hit the Recteq on Sunday. 👍.

Locally, H‑E‑B Natural St. Louis Style Pork Spareribs, avg. 3.97 lbs, is $28.58 or $7.20/lb. Four slabs at the average weight comes to $114.32 and they are not Duroc. Just ordered the Creekstone Farms deal, with shipping it comes to $113.00.

Right now Wild Fork has Berkshire St. Louis spareribs at $8.88/lb but regular (not Berkshire) St. Louis spareribs are $3.38/lb which is a lot cheaper than HEB right now.

Also with a too-full freezer! No way I can fit four racks. Bummer, because I've made these a few times and they are DAYUM good. But as I said in the Click Akaushi sale thread, I've got something going into the smoker tomorrow, working to make room!

Looks like a great deal at $88/ 4 racks. Add $25 for shipping come to $28 a rack. I know their quality is top notch but, I'll pass. Thanks for the lead thou.
PS; Freezer kinda stacked. 4 racks would be a challenge unless I got rid of my wifes vegtables. Not a smart move by me.

Steve R. thanks now 8 racks and a good price. I just spent $160 on ribs, have no place to put them other than purchase another freezer. You have an extra room for me to move into?

A couple of options: 1. you have until the middle of next week when they would arrive to cook and eat a bunch of stuff that's in the freezer; 2. I have a whole lower floor you can stay in til this blows over, complete with a half empty 15 cubic ft. chest freezer.

Steve R. you are good person, I appreciate your generous offer. If I take you up on it and i store the ribs is your freezer do I ever see them again uncooked? I'm going to hold off but once again thanks.

I’m intrigued. I’ve only bought spare ribs from Costco and the local discount grocery store in years past. Mainly from Costco though. Think I paid $40 for 3 racks or so. Are these ribs that much better? I’ve bought some prime steaks and they were amazing. Wonder how the pork is and if this deal is worth it.

Thanks for the link, I might order some leaf lard. I sent an inquiry to see if they sell fat back - need it for sausage making.

Some artful tactics of smoking some beef ribs today and a plan to do a rack of spares I have on hand on Friday frees up just enough space to get those four racks in the chestie. I've also got a work crew coming on 18 Feb to put in a small 6x8 concrete pad as a back patio in our yard plus install some stepping stones from our new gate to the patio we had built last summer -- in fact I hired the same crew for this work because they did such a great job on that. Weather authorities permitting, I'm planning on getting a couple racks of ribs in the smoker early that morning so that I can serve them up to the hard-working crew for a late lunch. So I won't have a space crunch for long...
