We have been feeding in two locations for 9 full days in both locations. Our volunteers have served 407,920 hot bbq meals to those in need across the panhandle of Florida and up into Georgia. Partners with the Salvation Army we have provided hot meals to approximately 50 TSA canteen trucks that are taking meals to communities daily to help feed those in need of a hot meal. We have also worked with approximately another 100 churches, civic groups, individuals, other non-profits and organizations doing good to help the communities affected by Hurricane Michael.
It is awesome to see the outpouring of support for these areas. It is awesome to see so many from all over the country come out to support these communities.
Later this week we will shut down our operations in Tallahassee as the meal requests continue to fall in that area. In Panama City, we continue to do more than 20,000 meals a day. We will continue to fill the need as long as we can sustain operations. We anticipate that by the end of the month we will probably look to close down operations.
We will continue to need volunteers during this time as well as volunteers to shut down Tallahassee later this week. We have been able to get much of the food product needed and are working to ensure we can provide the meals that matter to those in need. Please help us by sharing our social media posts.
