Operation BBQ Relief has been on the ground in Port Charlotte since September 29th and got set up and started serving sandwiches on September 30th and October 1st just 500 sandwiches each day. During that 48 hours we set up our largest site to date and started getting our food supplies and bunkhouses in. We started serving our first meal service October 2nd. Through today we will have provided over 102,978 meals throughout southwest Florida. See what a few people are telling us about our meals.

BBQ is comfort food. BBQ is celebration food. You just don’t find that in other food. The healing power you get from that quintessential comfort food is meaningful for so many. As we cook over 50,000 hot meals today, we are thankful for our sponsors and supporters that help us serve communities impacted by Hurricane Ian.
Many homes are still without power and water as the search and rescue efforts continue. With the growing need for hot meals, Operation BBQ Relief plans to increase our daily meal count.
