I joined the Pit 10 years ago next Saturday, August 3rd. At the time I was hoping that my little “donation” was a big thank you to what I was able to gleen from the pages. I’ve learned so much, and am immensely thankful to Meathead and the crew for keeping it going. I don’t post much, but love looking at the different cooks everyone posts to give me some inspiration on the next cook. Even more so I love the different recipes and tips I get from the different articles! Meathead and Crew cheers to 10 and here’s to many many more! 👏🍻

10 years?! Where has the time gone? Soooo much value from this site - the best resource anywhere. And the words….soooo many words (knowledge) in every recipe with backup and background on everything!
I haven’t won a prize yet (10,000 competitors!) but that’s ok. Keep it going. Meathead, you da master and you’ve got some great helpers.
Thanks and happy anniversary!

Wow! 10 years! And I've been on-board for about 8 of those thanks to my wife finding the site. I remember being clueless about smoking meat (wait, ribs have a membrane?) and now, thanks to this site and forum members, I constantly get comments like, "these are the best ribs I've ever eaten," or "I've never had a better smashburger than this!" Sooo much valuable information on here!

I stumbled across Pitmaster Club back in July 2014 and joined not knowing what it really was all about. I wanted to learn more about smoking and grilling. I had no idea it had only been going a few days and I was on the ground floor of something special. Glad to have been a part of it and to have met so many people willing so share their secrets. I certainly miss those who have left us and moved on to a better place.Last edited by bep35; July 30, 2024, 07:05 AM.

Happy 10 yrs! This site is the best and I am so happy to be a part of it! For a while, it was a my hope diamond of an undiscovered secret, but the cat got out of the bag and my friends caught on. The amazing BBQ that I put out was 2 parts my prowess as a pit master a 2 parts aid of this site! Between the forums, connecting with other pit masters as well as Meathead and the Good Doctor to the fantastic articles (I love the article about salt btw), all is top notch! Alas, part of me wishes that the cat stayed in said bag and I could horde all of the advice from this place to myself, but the majority of me is so stoked that this site is still alive and thriving!! I can no longer push people over to another guy's site, they found you! (Oh and while I love that other guy, he's like the Paula Deen of BBQ sometimes! Not a bad thing, but, I also want to live past 50 eating BBQ!)
So again, Happy 10 years!! Here's to 10 more!
