Avid Armor Sold Out of Chamber Sealers

In visiting the Avid Armor Website, all of their chamber vacuum sealers were listed as "Sold Out". Does anyone know what is going on? It seems strange that an online company would be out of product with the holiday shopping season coming up.

On another matter, I was sealing chili in my USV1 last night and there was excessive air in the bags from what I have seen in the past. I tried vacuum sealing a potato to see if maybe chili was the problem, and that bag also had air in it after the seal. I don't use my USV1 all that often, I would estimate less than 50 bags or so through it.

I would appreciate any insight if someone has had a similar experience with their chamber sealer.

    Have fun!

The shakeup in international markets has affected vacuum sealer manufacturers.

Agree with Tom. Avid Armor sealers are designed and sold in US, but manufactured in China. That's the likely issue.

I see that they still have some models of the suction vacuum sealers for sale, but no chamber vacuum sealers available.

Hopefully they'll be getting in more chamber sealers. I'm still rocking my V32Pro model.

I had that problem with not sealing well one time and it was because the gasket around the rim had come loose along one side. As soon as I pushed the gasket back in place all the way around the rim, the food sealed up just fine.

Did you get a squishy spongy avocado with your purchase? That's what I test the sealing with. I use it to see how much to reduce the vacuum level for soft foods like breads and rolls. With the USV32Pro, you can set a number on the digital display. On your USV1 model, it looks like you have three presets for reducing the vacuum level. Is that sealing time set to max?

The instructions recommend sealing on the middle setting which is what I was using with the chili. On the potato I did both middle and high vacuum and there was little difference between the two. I will check the gasket when I get home to see if that is the issue. And no, there was no squishy spongy avocado with my USV1. I have a squishy spongy monkey which I may try.

      Thanks for the timely response.

I reached out to Avid Armor and received the following:

"Thanks for reaching out. Due to high demand in our chamber sealers, we sold out quicker than anticipated, and we have been waiting for our shipment to arrive. But the good news is that we will have our USV32s and USV20s back in stock in November! So be sure to keep your eye on our website and on our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) to stay up to date."

    And now we know!

Purchase internationally on a daily basis with my work. I really have not seen much of a difference in pricing. However, product availability is getting rough, mainly with delays. My opinion they will restock but not quickly.
