Prime Day! Avid Armor AVS2400 vacuum sealer for $30.20!

This is a crazy good deal if this thing is worth a damn at all (which it seems to be!).

ID:	1748380That's crazy. I literally just ordered this model last night for $54.90, now I'm going to have to send back today's delivery and re-order again to get the $25 off. Oh well, I'll do it.

And yes, for those who may care, the link above is an affiliates link, which means I may get like $0.35 if you order it after clicking my link. lol. Just so you know - doesn't cost you anything extra, but I may get a few cents. (Actually just went back and looked, this is actually a higher priced commission item, I didn't know this - 4.5%. So that means like $1.35. Wow.)

Anyways, not my main reason for posting, but thought it fair to be transparent. This looks like a smoking deal to me, so I'm ordering a second one and sending the first one back.

Lower on that listing page is a unit that looks exactly like it under the Potane name, priced at $120!

I love my chamber vac and use it weekly, but every so often there's an item that would work out just a bit better on one of these vac puller type devices. Yeah, the chamber can do an external but not as efficiently. At this price I may have to take a shot.

IKR? For $30, it's pretty well a no-brainer to give it a try!

I just got that not long ago it's pretty fantastic. I had an inkbird before it. The Avid is definitely a step up in the quality department. Great for people that need to vacuum seal extra meat and do small marinades and stuff but 1./ can't afford a $500 or need a large chamber sealer. I paid $36.58 on amazon out the door may 23rd for mine so I wouldn't call this a deal LOL. Amazon can be kinda dishonest on it's prime sales like every other company on the planet.

I agree with that - but I have watched this for at least a few weeks and it has been in the mid-50s I think. So the $30 deal I'll jump on!

I already have 2 of them or I'd be all over this. Thanks for posting

Comes up as $29.65 when I clicked the link but I'm no longer a Prime Member so I can't get it at that price. I already have a chamber sealer and a FoodSaver.

I think Panhead John owes you at least that much for being his friend. He should just give it to you

klflowers I like your thinking so I ordered two, should have ordered 10. I don't need one but at that price I'm going to use them as gifts.

Wow, I gotta give a props here to Avid Armor and Prime. Just tried out this new sealer. It's a little bulkier than my old one, and stands a little taller off the counter. I use my big cutting board as a 'stand' to get the food up off the counter so I can fit the edge of the bag into the sealer without having to go too long on the bag. I did that with my old one, too, but this is a little bit taller. Not a huge issues, considering...

        This thing is freaking AWESOME!

MUCH MUCH MUCH quieter than my old AA, and seals wonderfully with the double-seal bar. I absolutely love it, already!

I just sealed up 17 packages of smoked chikkin sausage, with double seals, no less, in like... 10 minutes? I dunno. That would have been twice, maybe three times as long with my old sealer. No joke, it is WAY faster. Honestly, with premade bags from Wevac, I was sealing them about as fast as I could stuff them into bags of 4 sausages per bag.

This thing is great. BUY IT! For real!

<edit> The bulkier size I will chalk up to having a space for a roll of bag material, and a cutter built in. I did miss that on my previous one.

So, I recently picked up a sous vide to add to my endless cooking learning experience and now I am in need of a sealer (original use of sous vide was for yogurt making, which is fantastic BTW).

I found this thread and think this would be a good one to give a go and try out.
One question. What bags should I add to this? There are a couple that are recommended when you click "the bundle"
        The two are:
        - pint size
        - 8 x 12

New territory for me, but I am very anxious to give this a shot!
        TY!

8x12. If you need a smaller size for something just cut the bag down to the size you need. I can’t think of anything I’ve sealed that would fit in a pint sized bag. I believe my most commonly used size is 8x10, but we normally only are cooking for two.
Just looked at the Avid Armor site and it looks to have a roller cutter built in. I suggest getting a roll instead and cut your own for your needs

I get these rolls and cut the lengths I need. I vacuum seal A LOT, and I last ordered in February, and still have enough to last a couple months.
