    Vac bag stuffing

While stuffing vac bags I like to avoid getting food on the seal area to keep the seal area clean. I cut the bottom out of a container and insert into the vac bag. Works pretty good!
ps: I love the convenience of sous vide vac pack dinner options!

    helps with messy sauces too!

Neat. I usually just fold the bag over about 3-4". But this might just be a better way.

I use alot of 6" x 10" bags in my chamber sealer so I got one of these for filling the bags...I had the same goal, to keep the edges clean for a better seal...I might make something like you did as well to use also...

I just sealed 12 bags in my new chamber sealer two days ago. Wish I had seen this post but they came out alright. Will be using one for now on.

Y'all have not been paying attention. I posted this "solution" a few years ago.

I've been using that solution for years, thanks to RonB's post. It's a game changer.

Great idea. I've always folder over the top of the bag which is a pain. Thank you.

Thank you! I've always used a wide mouth funnel, but that's a pain to keep the bag open and the funnel in place. Got some chicken broth in IP now, and some clean plastic pint and quart containers. Seems so much simpler!

I've done the same for a few years. I joke with my Wife I'm taking it to "Shark Tank" and make the big money, but I see I've already been knocked off.

Roll up a plastic cutting board and a Lil tape.

I use the same container for transferring product from the board to the bag. I also use it to measure amount to freeze. Great minds think a lot.

That is a really good idea! I usually just fold the opening of the bag outward.

I’m team ā€œfold the bagā€. It’s how I was taught at my old job. Or if I do realize product near the sealing area, I wipe it down with a dry paper towel. Best I can, anyways….. if the seal seems iffy, I’ll seal again near the original.
