What brand of vacuum sealer bags.

I received a Vacuum sealer for xmass I need to purchase a roll for 11” wide bags are there any brands that are preferred or better for sous vide or freezing?

ssennott I also got a new sealer (Avid Armour). I purchased from here based on recommendations from the Pit.

Shop dependable vacuum sealers for home or commercial use, plus quality supplies to extend freshness and pack food with confidence with Vacuum Sealers Unlimited.

Lots of choices. I am waiting for them to arrive. In the meantime, I have been using the included bags and they are great. Bonus: I can still use the remaining food saver brand as well.

I’m trying to find what I ordered last. They are ok for freezing but when I use them in sous vide they leave a film of glue like stuff on the surface of the water that is a pain to clean off of and out of everything.

Foodsaver 11" rolls are the ones I use. Buy a couple rolls from them for now and sign up for the emails on their site. Once or twice a year they have 30%+ sales and you can buy a few boxes to stock up. I also like to keep handy a box of their expandable bags for larger cuts. Don't bother with the "resealable'' type bags or pre-sized bags, just get 11" rolls

I buy the cheapest ones in rolls from Amazon. They work the same as all the others.

We use a lot of vacuum sealer bags. We buy these off brand bags in boxes of 8-25 ' rolls. Use then for freezer and sous vide up to 190º for hours. Never had a problem with then leaking.

Foodsaver , you can order directly from their website. They always seem to have deals and free shipping at a certain level.

This is what we buy on Amazon, inexpensive, and they seem to work well. 11in x 150ft roll that comes in it's own storage box with cutter.

I'm going to try these when my current supply runs out. I really like that built-in cutter idea.

I have been buying these bags for use with my Foodsavr. The biggest issue is the roll is too big to fit inside the Foodsavr until I use about half of the bag material, so I just cut what I need with scissors until that point.

What I like about these is they are expandable, and I have no issue vacuum sealing things like a brisket or a big slab of ribs.

I only use this for the big stuff, but they are good to have. Been working on the last roll for a couple of years. Aside from these, I have only used Foodsavr brand bags that I bought at Sam's Club. But all I have at the moment is the big expandable roll, and I have frozen and sous vide a lot of stuff with it.
