Yesterday during a cook, my pit probe crapped out before the cook was finished. This was really surprising because I had just replaced all probes back at the end of August. I called today, and they immediately said they'd ship a free replacement. I then said that while they were shipping something to me, I wanted to order a couple of kill plugs (pretty sure my dog decided the old one was a toy and it disappeared). When I said I was ready to give the credit card information to order the plugs, the rep said that since I'd been a customer so long and the plugs are so inexpensive, he'd throw those in for free, too. That was totally unexpected and just a wonderful thing to do.

- I have often read a lot of negative things posted on other forums talking negatively about their customer service.
- I pretty much chalk that up to unreasonable expectations OR escalation of customers tone while speaking to the customer service representitive. Never a good thing.Comment

Update: I already have gotten an email saying the pit probe and two kill plugs have been shipped, less than an hour and a half after the call.Comment
