So many choices, with fan boys for each one. I had another temp issue for today's ribs, it wasn't catastrophic, however dinner was much later than I intended. Temp go too low while I was away from the smoker for 2 hours
So what am I going to purchase? Hopefully on sale black Friday
I have a party q, but I want a fireboard. The party q works great, but the fan runs off batteries. I always forget to check them so in the middle of a cook, I am out fumbling around trying to change them. Plus, the fireboard has the graphing capabilities and the bells and whistles...

I am a fan of the FireBoard. It is a solid set up and it works great with my BGE. I started with the Party Q, Then I went to the Digi Q, then finally the FireBoard set up. I have been most happy with the FireBoard set up.
Has anyone purchased the fan from Fireboard? Am I correct in reading that I would have to purchase a cable to run it from the Fireboard and it costs more than the fan???
I have the Fireboard fan. It works great. It is, I believe, 20CFM. You need to purchase the Fireboard drive cable which connects the Fireboard to the fan.
