    Thermoworks Billows?

Anyone have any more info on the Thermoworks Billows? I have seen it mentioned in a couple emails from them and saw it on their Instagram. From what I can see it is a fan controller that connects to the Signals unit. It isn't for sale yet.

$59 price tag so if you already have a Signals unit it seems like a decent price. Might be the thing that pushes me over the line on buying the Signals. The pic of course is a WSM but I would guess it would work just as well for a kettle.

I have seen this unit before, though, not in person. That is a really competitive price and I bet it will sell well. I have not heard anything on when it will be coming out, but I am pretty sure we all knew Thermoworks would be going in the direction. They have too. Making these units expandable is important.

I've only seen their teasers about the fan icon on the Signals screen at startup. I am glad to see the price isn't $90+. I'm not much of a controller fan person myself though so I will pass.

I entered a contest to win one and a Signals unit this morning.

I love the Signals unit but the app is a piece of crap. Been waiting for them to fix it. At $50 I may order the fan though, that's unusual for them to be that cheap.

Yeah, I was surprised it was that low. They probably figure if you already dropped $230 on the Signals they should at least throw you a bone.

          Ditto on the app!!

i don’t go in for all that and use my vents. At 60 I’ll bite! The kettle has massive flow already and I cook with a hot fire.

Ill give it a whirl. Ala Broussard, pun intended.

I have never been too interested in any of the other fan controllers out there. I have always been able to do a fine enough job with just the vents. But there are times if I have to run some errands, go to church on Sundays, etc. where something to give me a bit more temperature insurance would come in handy.

It is possible with larger cfm fans that kick into overdrive when the fire dies out. I think I have a 20cfm on the 22 kettle with zero issues.

            How much ash flies through
            an offet?

I’ve never seen ash fly from my Pit Viper fan.
