I am struggling to figure out connecting this thing. Does anyone have any advice or can you point me to the right online source for information? I can't get the IP Address to show up when I plug the unit into the modem at all. So I connect/disconnect/repower all that jazz. I am far from computer literate on this stuff...

Chiflyfisher: The original Stoker was a nightmare to configure if you weren't a networking expert, but the II version was friendlier, as I recall. It has been a couple of years since I worked with this product, and I no longer have it available to play with. I would suggest you call or write to their customer service department. The problem might be with the Stoker or it might be an issue with your router. I wish I could be more helpful, but diagnosing a problem like this will require a back-and-forth dialog with someone who knows the equipment intimately.

I have Verizon Fios, and their tech support is always very helpful with issues like this. You might try your internet provider's support.

Sorry to chime in late on this. There is a page of videos on the Stoker website. One shows the set-up procedure for just getting on your own network. https://www.youtube.com/embed/nsc1v5oA0kc He uses the original Black Stoker, and Stoker 2 is different from the original black stoker. Be sure to read the "captions" he puts on the screen also. Apparently he just writes out the differences on screen, instead of remaking the video. If your focused on just doing what he says, it's easily missed.
There are other videos for internet access and such.
I also think that if you are re-doing a set up, you have to go in and find a setting to clear the original, but I could be wrong about this. I saw that in comments on their facebook page sometime back. There is lots of help there also.
On Facebook, search for "Stoker BBQ Forum".
