Making 2 racks of St Louis cut on the Weber 22", decided to give this device a whirl.
Eh.
The biggest fault is that the instructions are confusing. What it does is sets a temp relative to ambient. So the instructions talk about setting it to zero, but there is no dial indicator for zero. I put it on the kettle, fiddled with it a bit, watched the temps spike, then nosedive, then figured why bother.
The thing is, I really have no trouble holding a temp +/- 10* using the vents on a Weber Kettle with a Slow & Sear. I'm sure the TTT works, somehow, if I'd take the time to figure it out, but really I didn't need to. Maybe another time.
