Hi everyone. Just purchased a Weber kettle and want to add a thermostatic controller. I like the Auber because it is recommended here. Has anyone seen a decent looking mounting setup for the Auber on the Weber Kettle?

Ahhh, thanks, I was here and my phone wigged out on me.....
Pic to come. You need to drill a hole just under the charcoal grate, and in between two ash sweepers. Move the ash sweepers and mark the location they terminate at. I installed mine across from where I put my Slow 'n Sear.
The above is for a 22" kettle. On the 26" you can go high enough to be above the ash sweepers and below the charcoal grate.

Another 2 questions. I am going to do a trial one one rack of ribs tomorrow. Coiled and skewered. Where should I put the thermo couple?
Also I just set up the controller for 225 degrees. If I set alarms what should the high and low alarm be? Should I set alarms?Last edited by UNK; June 9, 2017, 07:33 PM.

Put the probe used to control the grill temperature on the indirect side at least an inch away from the meat. Based on my experience without a fan, I would set a low alarm at 200-210F to let you know you need to clear the ash. A high alarm may be useful at 270-290 to let you know the fire is getting away from you.

Used it this weekend and it worked very well. However I decided I would like to be able to monitor remotely. Called Auber and they are going to do an exchange for the wifi model. Wow awesome company.
