Here's a couple of pics for those who might be interested in this simple conversion for the PartyQ to operate without batteries. Note that at any time this may be removed in order to revert back to battery operation if need be. As you can see this is in no way a permanent modification and has literally no ill affect.

Question. Couldn't I just splice a plug onto the leads running out if the battery box to take the power from the ac to dc brick and skip the dead batts?Comment

Okay. A bit of a follow up with the partyQ. I'm a half a dozen smokes in with. It this moment I'm about half way threw some ribs and tips. So far it really hasn't given me the set it and forget it experience.
Im sure this is because I need to learn fire management with this allover again. I'm not giving this a bad review. Well not really sure what I'm sayin so I guess the story aint over yet..
