Pulled the trigger and bought a heatermeter kit. Then realized I ordered the wrong case for the unit so I went ahead and ordered another kit. There's a 4.2 and 4.3 kit. Assembly is a bit tough if you do not have steady hands or soldering experience. I would recommend getting a desoldering tool if do plan to do it yourself. So I ended up frying one because I did not pay close attention to the parts they looked the same but had different values. Seems I only fried the main board not the pi board. The working one was easy to setup the SW. I can access it on my phone if I am on the same wifi. Still have not been able to setup the true remote access. Have not done a test cook yet. Planning on hooking it up to the WSM. Been fun tho. Anyone else messed with one of these?
