I've got a new Fireboard fan waiting to be installed and I'm hesitating. I'm going to control it with my Fireboard 2. I'm nervous going ahead with this solution because it seems everyone is running someone else's fan. Any folks out there with Fireboard fan experience? I'd like to stay with one vendor in hopes the support is better.

I’ve read that there was a problem with fan speeds but that turned out to be firmware related and was corrected. Have you heard or experienced something else? I do have a Fireboard 2 and a Fireboard fan but have only used it a few times.

Fireboard is now up to 3 different fans. The first was not made by them.
The second was a 20 CFM fan. It is the original Fireboard branded fan. Very long. I sought out this one because I liked what I could see from the picture. However I now see it has a leaky design. Not a super big deal because 20 CFM is a lot. However it means that you probably have to remove it and shut the vent to extinguish the fire in a kamado depite the fact it has a damper.
I will probably wrap it in kapton (high temp) tape.
The third is currently in production and is a short fan. It appears to be better sealed.
