BBQ Guru WIFI PC App/ Program

Does any one know of any software that can run on a PC That will chart out a cook for a BBQ Guru WIFI? I know that the Rocks Stoker has a decent pc app, but other than an android or I Phone, I can't find any software out there that will do what the phone based apps will. I can log into the guru from any where, I am just looking for some thing for my PC.
    Any input would be great!!!

    Thanks,

    Ben

I'm looking into this with someone that might know Ben.

I'm not aware of any PC-based apps that will do what the mobile apps do. I've often wished for one myself as I really don't like running the battery down on my Samsung Galaxy to watch temperatures rise. Thermoworks has an app that I use for testing thermostatic controllers that runs on the PC. I use it with the Bluetooth-enabled Blue Therm Duo (http://amazingribs.com/bbq_equipment...rm-duo-292-601) so I can plot temperature vs. time. It would work fine for monitoring food and cooker temperatures simultaneously as it has two channels, but it's not a temperature controller like the Guru. Nag the device manufacturers and maybe they'll get the hint.

Thank you for the Link. I'll look into that.
When I first picked up my guru I emailed them and they gave me a link to a website that had been taken down; they at the same time told me about the pit pal app.
I messaged them again about a month ago and they still didn't have any thing other than phone based apps. I am guessing that if they haven't made one by now they are not going to make one... sigh...Oh well. On the upside its still an amazing asset to my smoker!!!
I have a few friends that are into programming. I am going to check with them and see what it would take to build an app for the PC.

I have since upgraded phones and went with the Cybercook Mini for the IPhone. That app is awesome! Well worth the money.

There are a number of Android emulators out there that will let you run app from your PC. Try a Google search for BlueStacks or Andyroid...

If you can't find something that works, and are really set on using a computer to control/monitor your pit then the Heatermeter might be a good option. It's a community project on open hardware that has amazing functionality. It can control your pit (via both a fan and a vent damper), monitor Pit temp and up to 3 meat temperatures. Do things like controlled ramp down (meat hits 200, drop pit to a holding temperature). Email or text message. Also push alerts to your phone. Some people worked it to make phone calls. The device is powered by a Raspbery Pi computer so the sky is the limit really. It's also wifi based so you can control it remotely from any internet based computer.

It would be a new decent sized investment though so it might be out of the question.
Build your own web-based barbecue controller using Raspberry Pi and a few basic electronic components.

Don't know if you've already found another solution or an app, but you can connect to the unit directly from any browser. The interface is not as slick but you can do everything that you can do from the phone apps.
