Fireboard 2 malfunctioning

So I have a FB2 with the drive cable and when I turn it off with the cable attached it powers itself right back on. I contacted customer service and they suggested I send it in. They were able to replicate the issue and told me it was a problem with their code and it will be fixed in a future update of the firmware. The unit is now in the mail back to me. It cost me $25 to ship it to them so I asked them to cover it and they immediately issued me a partial refund for the $25. So I'm overall satisfied with their customer service. Hopefully the update gets pushed out sooner rather than later.

At least there is a reproducible, identifiable issue! Doncha hate it when something fails intermittently or inconsistently? I only just got my FB2 several weeks ago and haven't looked up how to do firmware updates... hope this one comes soon for ya.

Yeah, I was a little worried and kind of relieved when they could replicate the issue. I think updates are just pushed out to everyone as long as they are on wifi so you don't have to do anything.

Another good customer service example. Since I don’t use the Drive program, I won’t worry too much about that fix. Hope you get your FB back soon.
